Kitchener-Waterloo MLS Statistics for March, 2012

KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (April 4, 2012) –– Residential property sales through the Multiple Listing System (MLS(KWAR), increased 8 percent in March compared to last year. There were 660 residential sales last month, 32.8 percent more than in February. During the first quarter of 2012, there were a total of 1,502 residential sales, an increase of 1.1 percent compared to last year’s 1,480 sales. Demand for detached homes was strong last month, with sales increasing 13.2 percent to 437 units.

KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (March 5, 2012) –– There were 487 homes sold last month through the Multiple Listing System (MLS ®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR), a 2.2 percent decrease compared to last year, but still a better than average February. February’s residential sales totaled $149,990,413, a 4.5 percent increase over last year, and included 321 detached homes (an increase of 3.5%), 92 condominium units (down 13.2%), 34 semis (down 26.1%) and 38 townhouses (up 18.8%).

KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (February 3, 2012) –– Sales of residential properties by REALTORS® through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) were down 7.8 percent compared to last year, but in line with the 10 year average for January.

KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (January 5, 2011) –– The 329 residential sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) of the Kitchener Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) in December mirrored sales from the previous year. December’s results bring the total number of residential homes sold by REALTORS® through the KWAR MLS® System in 2011 to 6,252, a 2.1 percent decrease compared to 2010.

 KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (December 5, 2011) –– There were a total of 450 residential sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) in November, with a total dollar volume of $134,889,762, a decrease of 1.7 percent relative to results in November 2010.

KITCHENER‐WATERLOO, ON (Nov 3rd, 2011) –– The number of residential real estate sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) of the Kitchener‐Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) increased to mark a gain over October 2010 of 4.9 percent.There were a total of 470 residential sales, with a total dollar volume of $143,058,192, representing a 5.6 percent increase over results recorded in October 2010.

Kitchener-Waterloo, ON (Oct 5th, 2011) – Residential sales to the end of the third quarter of 2011 are behind last year by 2.9 percent. A total of 4,975 homes have sold to date this year through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS®, compared with 5,126 during the same period last year.

 KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (July 6, 2011) –For the second consecutive month, residential sales increased on a monthly basis compared to last year. This brings the total number of sales recorded through the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) during the first half of the year to 3,443, a 5.4% decrease compared to 2010, but in line with the 5 year average.

KITCHENER -WATERLOO, ON (June 3, 2011) –Sales of residential properties via the Multiple ListingSystem (MLS®) of the Kitchener Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) returned to typical numbers after a slower than usual start to the year.There were a total of 667 residential properties sold last month, a 4.5 percent increase compared to May of last year, and the third highest on record.

KITCHENER-WATERLOO, ON (May 4, 2011) –Sales of residential properties via the Multiple Listing System (MLS®) of the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of REALTORS® (KWAR) were slower than usual for April.There were a total of 614 residential properties sold last month, a 14.4 percent decrease compared to April of last year, and 47 sales shy of the previous five year’s average.
